Nakhon Si Thammarat – On January 23, 2026, Prof. Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, alongside executive members from the accounting and internal audit divisions, warmly welcomed executives from the State Audit Office of the Kingdom of Thailand (SAO). The visit aimed to observe the university’s operations and attend the official opening meeting for the audit of Walailak University’s FY2025 financial statements.

During the visit, the SAO audit delegation—led by Mr. Theerayut Wattanathamsiri (Inspector General, State Audit Region 14), Ms. Wanida Polrit (Deputy Inspector General), and Mrs. Kessara Kaewluan (Director of SAO Nakhon Si Thammarat Provincial Office)—toured the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Natural History Museum (SIRIN Museum). The SAO executives showed keen interest in the natural history exhibits and the university’s lush, pleasant surroundings, which highlight Walailak University’s success as a key learning hub in the region.
